In 2012, value of all our exports was $8.54
billion compared to $7.39 billion in 2011. Imports: $10.32 billion, up from
$9.8 billion in 2011
Services
sector contributed 43.9 percent to the GDP in 2012. Telecoms? A dismal 2.3
percent.
Gas and electricity sector grew by 6% in 2012 compared
to 1.5% in 2011. Diesel powered generation rose by 73.7 percent. Gas-powered:
4.7%.
Fisheries grew by 2.9% in 2012 compared to 1.2%
growth in 2011. But for a third consecutive year its contribution to GDP remained
at 1.4%
In 2012, Tanzania GDP stood at Tshs 44.7 Trillion,
and GDP per capita at Tshs 1,025,038 compared to Tshs. 869,436.3 in 2011.
Agricultural sector grew by 4.3 percent in 2012
compared to 3.6 percent in 2011 and contributed 24.7 percent to the GDP.
In 2012, Tanzania GDP stood at Tshs 44.7 Trillion,
and GDP per capita at Tshs 1,025,038 compared to Tshs. 869,436.3 in 2011.
