Fisheries grew by 2.9% in 2012 compared to 1.2% growth in 2011. But for a third consecutive year its contribution to GDP remained at 1.4% 

In 2012, Tanzania GDP stood at Tshs 44.7 Trillion, and GDP per capita at Tshs 1,025,038 compared to Tshs. 869,436.3 in 2011. 

Agricultural sector grew by 4.3 percent in 2012 compared to 3.6 percent in 2011 and contributed 24.7 percent to the GDP.

In 2012, Tanzania GDP stood at Tshs 44.7 Trillion, and GDP per capita at Tshs 1,025,038 compared to Tshs. 869,436.3 in 2011.
