FUNDRAISE YA NDUGU RASHID MKAKILE, TUJITOKEZE KUMSAIDIA

On 10/21/2014 our friend Mr. Rashid H Mkakile did encounter a near death experience while he was in Boston (MA) area working. Previously Mr. Mkakile contacted his wife Mrs. Ikota K. Mkakile in Dallas, TX complaining about severe headache. A Few hours after that the condition worsened and his co-workers rushed him to Emergency Room where after few tests the Doctors determined that Mr. Mkakile needed to undergo a major head surgery right away. The test results determined that Mr. Mkakile did indeed rapture blood vessels in the head due to High Blood Pressure that caused severe internal bleeding and contributed to Mr. Mkakile suffering a stroke on his way to ER. Mr. Mkakile was immediately airlifted to Boston Hospital (Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center) where he underwent a Major Head surgery to save his life. His skull was opened and some parts taken out. Doctors were able to stop the internal bleeding, swelling of the brain and other complications. Thanks God! surgery was successful, his condition did improve to a point he was moved from ICU to the Critical Care area. He still needs to undergo several surgeries for the Doctors to complete the formation of the skull once again, and this will take several weeks. As the result of all above, unfortunately Mr. Mkakile will have long journey to recovery. Doctors did indicate that, he may be Partially Paralyzed due to stroke and he will need to go thru therapy and Rehabilitation process trying to recover fully.

As we all know that Tragedies like this can disrupt life completely, Rashid is being cared by his wife Ikota in Boston, MA miles away from their home in Dallas, TX. (Before Moving to Dallas TX, Rashid and Ikota lived in DMV area for more than 15yrs), they need our HELP in every way possible, more importantly they need FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE to make it possible for healing and caring of Mr. Mkakile, there is a high cost of MEDICAL BILLS, living arrangements and Insurance Premiums etc., that they will face daily. Their normal livelihood have been changed forever, there will be no income for this Family for quite some time. The only hope they have to move on is us – Family and Friends, to step up and show love and care when it really matters.

We as Friends, Brothers and Sisters of Mr. & Mrs. Mkakile we asking and pledging with you that we lift their names in Prayers and lift our Hearts to help them financially in any way possible. As we have mentioned above we’ll have a Fundraising event on 11/16/14 from 5pm at the following address
